The Juniper Front Community Garden

Located on Front Street in San Diego, this garden has large plots (10X15).  It also has at least 30 plots; however, it is not open to the public. 

Victoria's Gardens

Located in Lakeside, this garden has large plots and grows "pick-your-own" pumpkins and strawberries alternatively throughout the year.  There is no admission fee, but if you want any produce, you must pay for it at the on site farm stand.

The Pacific Beach Community Garden

Located in a very low transit area, the Pacific Beach Community Garden has large plots--10' X 25'.  The waiting list is long, but once you begin planting, you can feel secure with your plot, as it is surrounded by many residents who feel connected to the garden.

The Orchard Garden

The Orchard Garden, located in Point Loma, is in a 500 unit community for the elderly to promote some outdoor hands and crafts activities.  It is not open to the public, but around 700 people have access to it, and many have their own growing plants, vegetables, and fruits on them.  The plots are about 6'X 12'.
